Fernando worked for Citigroup for 27 years, holding important leadership positions that included director in charge of South America, excluding Brazil, Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Chile, and Corporate Director of Banamex. He represented Citigroup as director on important administrative Councils and Committees and as Director of the Board of Banco de Chile.  He is currently and has been a member of various boards of directors.

Before returning to Chile in 2006, he held important positions in Mexico and the United States, in particular for Banamex-Citigroup.

From 1987 to 1992 he was Chief Investment Officer of AFP Provida and before that, he worked for the Investment Banking Division at Citicorp Chile.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Mexico Derivatives Market, president of Corredora Citibank Mexico, vice-president of Chile’s Electronic Exchange Stock and the American-Chilean Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM), and director for Constructora Möller y Perez Cotapos S.A. Currently he is director of Banco Itau Corpbanca, Inmobliaria Baker, family companies and Vice-President of Falcom Asset Management.

Fernando holds a degree in Business and Economics from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile and has received training in different executive programs in the United States, Europe, and Latin America.
